Cleaning Up HR Files Without the Headache

Client Type: Small Business (Medical Device Startup)
Project: HR File Audit + Digital Organization

The Situation:
The client had no centralized system for HR documents — employee contracts, onboarding forms, and other sensitive files were spread across email, SharePoint, and local folders with no clear structure.

The Approach:
I reviewed their current file setup, flagged missing or duplicated documents, and reorganized everything using a lifecycle-based structure (hiring, active, exit). I created folder templates, file naming conventions, and checklists to help maintain the system long-term.

The Outcome:

  • Sensitive documents were secure, consistent, and easy to find

  • Admins now follow a clear process for uploading + maintaining records

  • No more wondering “Do we even have that signed contract somewhere?”

“I’m honestly not sure how we were functioning before Jordan came in. Everything is easier to find, explain, and maintain now — she made sense out of our mess.”
